Guidance from clinic about the new coronavirus

When visiting our clinic, please measure your body temperature at home.

When visiting the clinic for regular visits, out-of-reservation visits, rehabilitation, vaccination, etc., please measure your body temperature before your visit. If you have a body temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher, please contact us by phone before your visit in any case. Also if you have coughing or shortness of breathing, please let us know before coming.
We will check the symptoms and provide necessary explanations and guidance. We would like to ask for your cooperation in the preventive measures for the new coronavirus infection.

We thoroughly implement infection prevention measures.

We constantly ventilate the room so that the air in clinic will not be stagnant. In addition, we thoroughly disinfect alcohol in each part of clinic, and regarding the seats in the waiting room, we post a "social distance" so patients can sit at intervals. Please be sure to keep a distance with other patients. If you have a cold-like illness, please fill out the questionnaire at the entrance. If necessary, a non-contact thermometer is used to perform a body temperature test at the reception desk. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Alcohol for hand disinfection is installed in various places in clinic.

The main causes of new coronavirus infections are "contact-infection", "droplets-infection" and "aerosol-infection". The main cause of contact-infection is that the virus that adhered to fingers and hands adheres to the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. In order to prevent infection from this, alcohol for hand disinfection is installed in various places in clinic, so please use it as necessary and disinfect your fingers and hands.
When disinfecting, be sure to take the disinfectant solution in a dry hand, rub the fingertips and nails alternately with the palm, then rub the palms of both hands, the backs of both hands, and then the fingers of both hands. Rub your parents' fingers with the other hand as you twist, and finally spread solution over your both wrists. Disinfection is completed when the alcohol disinfectant is completely dry. Viruses and bacteria may remain before the disinfectant solution dries, so please dry it thoroughly.

We discontinue use of hand dryers in the bathroom/toilet.

We have stopped using the hand dryer that we have been using until now from the standpoint of infection prevention. Please bring clean handkerchief or towel with you when visiting clinic.

The importance of Social distancing and No-3Cs / Wearing mask to prevent infection

No-3Cs : Closed places with poor ventilation, Crowded places with many people nearby, Close-contact settings

In the current situation where new coronavirus infectious diseases continue to spread, it's essential to thoroughly implement “Do not go out”, “No-3Cs” and “Social distancing”.
The rate of increase in infected people after one month is too different when this is done and when it is not done.

In a study by the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Aalto, how supercomputers were used to determine how droplets and aerosol particles exhaled from the throat of an infected person in the corridor between store shelves. According to the analyzing whether it travels in the air and visualizing it three-dimensionally, an aerosol "cloud" spreads to the top of the display shelf within 1 to 2 minutes after coughing, and reach to the person in the next passage. From this, it is clear how important it is to wear a mask and avoid the No-3Cs.

Please refrain from going out unnecessarily. And when you go to buy the necessary items, please ask the minimum number of people to go out. Your life and health are in someone's hands, and someone's life and health is in your hands.

The fight against viral infections does not end with protecting only yourself or rely on someone in the absence of effective remedies and vaccines. Let's thoroughly prevent infection by all of us to protect our lives and health!

Correct use of mask

When wearing a mask

(1) Make a crease in the middle of the mask (wire of the nose) and then spread it up and down
(2) Put the rubber on your ears, align your nose, cheeks, and chin, and cover your nose and mouth securely.
(3) Press the part of nose to fit it, adjust the mask so that no gap is made and check.

If you make a gap, it will be easier for fine particles to enter, and the splashes that come out when you sneeze etc. will scatter around, so try to eliminate the gap. While wearing a mask, try to avoid touching the filter as much as possible, and wash your hands immediately if you do.

When removing the mask

(1) Hold the rubber part and remove it from your ears. Do not touch the filter part and throw it away to road etc.
(2) Wash your hands immediately

The mask may be dirty when you were wearing it after use. Be careful about the part you touch when removing it, and be sure to wash and disinfect it after removing it.

Should not use masks on children under the age 2.

1. For infants, masks can make it difficult to breathe, which can be a strain on your breathing and heart.
2. It's increased risk of asphyxiation from masks and vomiting.
3. Masks make heat up and increase the risk of heat stroke.
4. It makes you difficult to notice abnormal physical conditions such as your baby's complexion, lip color and facial expression.

Avoid using masks on children under the age 2.

CDC Guidance
While people who are sick or know that they have COVID-19 should isolate at home, COVID-19 can be spread by people who do not have symptoms and do not know that they are infected. That’s why it’s important for everyone to practice social distancing (staying at least 6 feet away from other people) and wear cloth face coverings in public settings. Cloth face coverings provide an extra layer to help prevent the respiratory droplets from traveling in the air and onto other people.

People older than 2 years of age in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain
Who should not wear
Children under age 2
Anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance

It may also suddenly develop symptoms without realizing that patient is asymptomatic.
In such a case, it's important to know in advance what kind of symptom is the warning signal.
Keep these symptoms in mind so that you can respond quickly and calmly to sudden changes in patient's condition.

The characteristic one is;

Follow the instructions on the label to ensure safe and effective use of the product. Read EPA’s infographic on how to use these disinfectant products safely and effectively.

Many products recommend:
1. Keeping surface wet for a period of time (see product label)
2. Precautions such as wearing gloves and making sure you have good ventilation during use of the product

Diluted household bleach solutions may also be used if appropriate for the surface.
1. Check the label to see if your bleach is intended for disinfection, and ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Some bleaches, such as those designed for safe use on colored clothing or for whitening may not be suitable for disinfection.
2. Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.
Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser.
Leave solution on the surface for at least 1 minute.

To make a bleach solution, mix:
(a) 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water OR 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water
